• Wonderful Winter Breakaway!

  • Aasvoëlkrans – more than a touch of whimsy in Montagu

Our bed-and-breakfast gets a great review over at SA-venues.

  • Wacky Wine Weekend 2008

Taking place in the Robertson Wine Valley, the Wacky Wine Weekend has firmly established itself as one of the Cape Winelands most popular wine festivals. 14 000 Visitors grazed our valley in 2007 and we are looking forward to 2008 when it’s the wine festivals’ 5th birthday.

  • The breakfasts were exquisite

My wife and I were on honeymoon and I selected a guest house from the portfolio collection so that we could stay in Montagu. We had an amazing stay at Aasvoelkrans which we found in the portfolio guidebook and where we went that night at the last minute. Jeanne only had ten minutes before we arrived and yet it was immaculate, filled with beautiful flowers from the garden. Her personal touches were amazing, there was beautiful attention to detail in everything she did.

  • A magical stay

Just a quick note to thank you for the magical time we had on honeymoon last week at Aasvoëlkrans. We really appreciated your willingness to take us on such short notice, and especially the flowers and candles you put in our room. Your garden is amazing and we had such a wonderful time there.

  • Wine on the River

This October, the Robertson Wine Valley once again brings you an exciting spring experience! The Robertson Wine on the River will take place 19 - 21 October 2007 at 2 riverside venues. You are invited to gather a group of friends and join us on the banks of the Breede River to taste more than 300 wines from over 40 wineries. Soak up the rhythm of LIVE jazz, ballads and blues and enjoy laid-back country hospitality at its best.

  • We hope to return to Montagu soon!

Finally got out to Montagu and stayed at Aasvoelkrans!!!!!!!! What a stunning place!!! We loved it!!!! I can’t believe how beautiful Montagu is, and the drive to get there is just fantastic! It was damn chilly, but luckily we were snugged up in the larger of the rooms with the underfloor heating!!! We were very lucky with the weather - went up Monday and back on Wednesday - hit all the rain on the way home! Nightmare! But Montagu was fantastic and we’ll definitely be returning.

  • Wacky Wine Weekend - updates!

We are currently in the final stage of getting a complete shuttle service up and running which will form part of the Robertson Wine Valley’s “Taste Responsibly” campaign.

  • A truly fabulous holiday

We have now arrived back home minus your wonderful warm air and blue skies!! You may not remember us but we had the pleasure of staying at your delightful home on the 7th February en route to Shamwari on our first visit to South Africa. The country, scenery and it’s people have left a great impression on us and we would like to thank you very much for your hospitality. Colin was most taken by the ‘floral’ additions at Aasvoelkrans, in fact he has great photograph of what was a delicious breakfast complete with bloom!!

  • Wacky Wine Weekend - coming soon!

The winter months are a great time to escape from life in the city and spend time with family and friends. If you have not finalised your winter weekend away why not head to the Robertson Wine Valley for the 4th annual Wacky Wine Weekend, taking place 1 – 3 June 2007!

  • The highlight of a tour

Just to let you know Mr Toepfer phoned me yesterday and mentioned to me that Aasvoelkrans has been one of the highlights of his tour!

  • A personal touch

Your garden and pool area is exactly what a tried traveler is looking for. The views of the mountains from your garden are fantastic, for they make up part of the whole ‘ambiance’ of your lovely B&B.

  • The wild side…

  • Ons favoriet verblijf

Wij hebben al van vele mooie B&B’s in SA mogen genieten maar ‘ bij Jeanne’ zal altijd ons favoriet verblijf zijn.

  • The best breakfast in the whole of South Africa

  • A very special visit

  • Fond memories and wonderful hospitality

  • An unforgettable stay

Enjoyed your stay?

Please remember to sign the guestbook.
